Moving Your Gaming Desk? How to Pack a Decorative Wireless Charger
Keep the charger, confirmed power accessories and setup details together. Plan around exposed model parts and inspect everything before reconnecting.

Before moving a decorative wireless charger, photograph the working setup, disconnect it and identify its power accessories. Pack the assembled model so that exposed details are not taking the weight of other objects. Keep the setup information with it so reconnecting at the new desk does not become a guessing exercise.
A model-style charger needs more planning than a flat desk mat. HQ 3.0 has a raised building and radar, while Service Depot has a manually posable arm. Neither listing establishes that those parts can be removed for transport, so do not disassemble them to make a box fit.
Record what belongs to the charger
Take one overview photo of the desk and one readable photo of the power accessory label. Label the confirmed cable and adapter before they are mixed with monitor, laptop and lighting accessories.
Write a short inventory:
| Item | What to note |
|---|---|
| Charger | Exact model name |
| Power supply | The accessory confirmed for this unit |
| Cable | Which connection it serves |
| Loose display accessories | Only items you actually have; keep them separate from the model |
| Instructions | Where to find setup information and support |
Do not use a packing list to assume extra accessories were included. The current Service Depot listing specifies one assembled unit and does not confirm a cable or adapter in the box. Pack the equipment you use with your own unit, and retain any documentation showing that it is suitable.
Match the packaging to the model
If you still have the original packaging and fitted supports, check whether they are intact and fit the assembled unit without pressing on exposed parts. Photograph how the model sits before closing the package. Do not force an arm, radar or decorative feature into a position just to reuse a damaged insert.
For general transport planning, UPS packaging guidance explains the role of a suitable box and cushioning, with additional protection for fragile goods. It is general carrier guidance, not a tested packaging specification for either Desk Chargers model.
If the original supports are missing, ask for model-specific packing advice. A box should have room for protection around the item; filling every gap by pressing material against a delicate part is not a substitute for supporting the unit correctly.
Keep the accessories from becoming loose cargo
Place power accessories together in a separate compartment or small package so they cannot knock against the model. Keep the labels readable. Do not pack the phone on the charging platform or stack a keyboard, monitor stand or other heavy object on top of the charger.
During a move within the same room, clear a stable destination before lifting anything. Support the unit from its base and avoid using the radar, arm or cable as a carrying handle. If the shape makes safe handling unclear, stop and ask for the recommended method.
For a parcel shipment or a longer move, have the packaging assessed for that journey. The original retail box alone should not be assumed to provide every level of transport protection.
Inspect before reconnecting
At the new desk, compare the unit and accessories with your photographs. Look for visible cracks, a shifted part, a damaged cable or a connector that no longer looks right. Leave the unit disconnected if you notice a change and contact Customer Help with photos.
If everything appears intact, follow the documented setup for the exact model. Keep the first charging check simple: use the confirmed power accessories, the same phone and the intended charging position. Check the phone's charging indication rather than relying on decorative lights.
Our desk placement guide can help you choose the new spot. If charging behavior changed after the move, use the troubleshooting checklist and mention the move when contacting support.
